I’ve received the watch today. Its the White Dial and Steel variant. The photos used by Flipkart simply do not do justice to the watch. It is far better on your hand than it is in the over optimised image used in the display. All the finer refraction and lens effects that the watch produces due to its marvellous glass cover is entirely washed out. The beautiful and subtle sparkles on the dial that combine to look like mother of pearl ( but is not) is destroyed on the display images used to sell this watch. I’ve placed some photos of this watch on your hand in the review below and trust me they are untouched by Photoshop.
Let me tell you as a one day user of this watch is that it is superbly sophisticated, it looks precise and has a clean usable design. It looks nearer to a luxury chronometer than a retail watch. The design is classy, sophisticated and retro all in one. I’m not exactly a young fit man now though I used to model and I still get looks from across the restaurant table due to I believe, in some measure, this watch. It’s that good. The one point to be aware of is that it’s large and substantial in terms of weight and size and therefore not for the faint of heart. The weight is enough to give you cardio and the glass is something you should not engage in physical activity with.
All that said, the finish, the materials and the craftsmanship are superb. I had occasion to remove 2 links on the bracelet and trust me the service is superb. No waiting, the dear lady at the counter in the World od Titan showroom at Borivali(W) near the station was polite, courteous, and got the links removed by the master within 3 minutes. That too on Diwali at 9 PM just before leaving for the day. When asked if there were service charges, she just smiled and said, “no sir, its a Titan Product.”
**As if that’s supposed to be a normal in this world. You and I know that no one else takes responsibility for after-sales that too from a product sold online. **
Let me state firmly that my trust and faith in a Titan product has already been reinforced. I’m a fan now and stuck to this brand now.
